These PCBs and the laser cut glass faces are currently available via my store at: http://www.likeclockworkdesign.com/collections/kits/products/the-standard-makers-kit
The PCB measures 399x399mm and the glass faceplace measures 17"x17".
The PCBs are Arduino compatible and it runs the “Arduino on a breadboard” bootloader. The microcontroller is a Atmega328p (TQFP package) running at 8MHz that drives four 16x8 LED (512 LEDs) matrixes via four HT16K33’s. Time keeping is accomplished using a…

LargeWordClock: common questions
What microcontroller does the LargeWordClock use?
The LargeWordClock is built around the ATMEGA328-TQFP, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the LargeWordClock PCB?
The LargeWordClock measures 398.2 × 398.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the LargeWordClock?
579 components, from 26 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the LargeWordClock design files?
From the LikeClockwork/LargeWordClock repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the LargeWordClock design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which LikeClockwork chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the LargeWordClock without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
