From the project

Custom PCB projects designed in KiCad featuring ESP32 and embedded systems.

A compact 6-key programmable macro pad built around the Arduino Nano ESP32. The design integrates WS2812B RGB LEDs for per-key lighting, a 0.91-inch I²C OLED display for status and menu information, USB-C connectivity, and a dedicated reset button. The PCB was designed in KiCad with a focus on clean component placement, efficient routing, dual-layer ground planes, and successful ERC/DRC verification.

ESP32 MacroPad Pro: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32 MacroPad Pro use?

The ESP32 MacroPad Pro is built around the Arduino_Nano_ESP32, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the ESP32 MacroPad Pro PCB?

The ESP32 MacroPad Pro measures 80 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32 MacroPad Pro?

26 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32 MacroPad Pro design files?

From the motiforge-labs/PCB-Design-Portfolio repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32 MacroPad Pro design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with motiforge-labs. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32 MacroPad Pro without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
