About the Lumi tubule PCB
Lumi tubule is an open source ESP32 PCB design by NemoAndrea, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 83.1 × 83.1 mm, with 74 components from 21 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SHTC3, VREG_SOT23-5 and LIS2Dx12. By type, the board carries 32 resistors, 14 diodes, 13 transistors, 4 ICs, 4 capacitors and 2 switches.

The LumiTubule PCB is generated with KiCad 6.0
Teardrops plugin (manual install - in PCBnew go to tools > external plugins > open plugin directory) Rounded tracks plugin (via plugin manager)
The graphics for the board are primarily created in Affinity Designer, with the help of Inkscape for some of the outline traces and image binarisation.

Lumi tubule: common questions
What microcontroller does the Lumi tubule use?
The Lumi tubule is built around the ESP32-S3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Lumi tubule PCB?
The Lumi tubule measures 83.1 × 83.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Lumi tubule?
74 components, from 21 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Lumi tubule design files?
From the NemoAndrea/lumi-tubule repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Lumi tubule design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license, which NemoAndrea chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Lumi tubule without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
