About the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD PCB

DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD is an open source ESP32 PCB design by NoseFa, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 3 components from 3 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-C3-DIP, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

A diy dashboard that can be used with the TRMNL software. Can display stuff like the weather. This repo is only for what I have made so the hardware side. For the software visit TRMNL's github.

A diy dashboard that is built with the TRMNL software in mind. Can display stuff like the your calendar, reminders or the public transit schedule. This repo is only for the hardware side. The TRMNL docs were a huge help in the design process and most of the electronics are based on their suggestions. This project was designed as a part of the Hack Club hardware hackathon FALLOUT where people make hardware projects and get a chance to go to Shenzhen, China. More info available here Fallout!

DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD: common questions

What microcontroller does the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD use?

The DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C3-DIP, from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD?

3 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD design files?

From the NoseFa/DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with NoseFa. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the DIY-TRMNL-DASHBOARD without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
