ESP32 IoT Gateway board with BLE WIFI and Ethernet

Notice that we use the latest nightly KiCad builds.

1. To reduce noise getting picked by Ethernet clock, disconnected GPIO17 from the CON1 header. Added jumper pads GPIO17_E1 (open by default) if somebody wants to lead it to the header...

1. Added diode D5 on esp_en; 3. Added TVS1 on PHY; 4. Opravi se value na NA(HN1x20); 5. T1 now LMUN2211LT1G; 6. USB connector changed to type C (more popular nowadays); 7. Added r12 and c6; 8. Added CE sign; 9. R28,R31,R32,R33 lowered to 0402 size; 10. DCDC - SY8089 changed to TPS62A02ADRLR. C3 now NA. L2 changed to 1.0uH/2.5A/CD32; 11. Updated the CH340X…

ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H use?

The ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H PCB?

The ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H measures 50.8 × 62.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H?

97 components, from 52 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H design files?

From the OLIMEX/ESP32-GATEWAY repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which OLIMEX chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32-GATEWAY Rev H without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
