About the Pcb one

Pcb one is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Open-Air-Foundation, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 124.1 × 112 mm, with 48 components from 22 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the TPL5010 and LM1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 18 capacitors, 10 resistors, 4 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 switches and 1 fuse.

It belongs with the iot & wireless, displays & leds and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

AirGradient ONE is a desktop indoor air quality monitor built around an ESP32-C3 module. It measures particulate matter (Plantower PMS5003), CO₂ (Senseair S8), temperature and humidity (SHT4x), and VOC (SGP41), with readings shown on an I²C OLED display and an 11-segment RGB LED

AirGradient ONE is a desktop indoor air quality monitor built around an ESP32-C3 module. It measures particulate matter (Plantower PMS5003), CO₂ (Senseair S8), temperature and humidity (SHT4x), and VOC (SGP41), with readings shown on an I²C OLED display and an 11-segment RGB LED bar that gives an at-a-glance air quality indication. The board is powered and flashed over USB-C, and exposes I²C, general-purpose I/O and RS485/Modbus headers for expansion.

Pcb one: common questions

What microcontroller does the Pcb one use?

The Pcb one is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Pcb one?

The Pcb one measures 124.1 × 112 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pcb one?

48 components, from 22 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pcb one design files?

From the Open-Air-Foundation/pcb-one repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pcb one design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which Open-Air-Foundation chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Pcb one without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
