About the BaseBoard PCB

BaseBoard is an open source PCB design by open-headset-interconnect-standard, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 74.3 × 30.5 mm, with 35 components from 17 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 4 resistors and 2 capacitors.

It belongs with the rf & radio and audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

An open-source OHIS Radio Adapter.

As of 2024-07-17, this is a Work In Progress.

1. Design a set of circuits that can be used to build OHIS compliant radio adapters. 2. Designs should be as simple as possible, but no simpler. 3. When laying out boards, keep as many parts through-hole as possible for ease of assembly. 4. There are two types of designs here: 1. General: Has all the circuits required to work with any radio, that needs to be configured. 2. Radio Specific: Trades Configurability for Simplicity. Make a simpler device for a specific radio.

BaseBoard: common questions

How big is the BaseBoard PCB?

The BaseBoard measures 74.3 × 30.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BaseBoard?

35 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BaseBoard design files?

From the open-headset-interconnect-standard/radio-adapter repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BaseBoard design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which open-headset-interconnect-standard chose for the repository.
