From the project

CAD files for the student workshop Phyduino Pico Arduino IDE compatible board.

This repository has all CAD files for the Phyduino Pico board used in the University of Toronto, Department of Physic, "Introduction to Electronics course."

This board is used to train graduate students first and foremost in surface mount hole solder techniques. As part of the training in the course they will as learn digital interfaces and digital IO design methods as well. This board is a fully function Arduino Uno style board using the Raspberry PI RP2040 microcontroller.

Phyduino pico: common questions

What microcontroller does the Phyduino pico use?

The Phyduino pico is built around the SC0914(13), from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Phyduino pico PCB?

The Phyduino pico measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.582 mm thick.

How many components are on the Phyduino pico?

124 components, from 62 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Phyduino pico design files?

From the perc-sw/phyduino_pico repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Phyduino pico design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which perc-sw chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Phyduino pico without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
