About the Analog Panel PCB

Analog Panel is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Plasmarobo, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 80 × 44.5 mm, with 24 components from 12 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATTINY85-20PU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MAX11616 and MCP47CXBXX. By type, the board carries 15 connectors, 5 resistors, 3 ICs and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

Heavily inspired by Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and Bomb Corp.

This ammounts to a electroncs and software programming project, with a side-helping of game design and art!

The software for this is not yet written, but I'm looking forward to the increased power and peripherals vs the ATTiny85.

The eventual plan is to laser cut and paint and acrylic panel to fit into a case. An alternative may be to 3D print some slotable modules and a motherboard panel to hold them.

Analog Panel: common questions

What microcontroller does the Analog Panel use?

The Analog Panel is built around the ATTINY85-20PU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Analog Panel PCB?

The Analog Panel measures 80 × 44.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Analog Panel?

24 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Analog Panel design files?

From the Plasmarobo/Disarmed repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Analog Panel design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Analog Panel without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
