About the TellMeLight Rev A PCB

TellMeLight Rev A is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by qiaoyo, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 96 × 74 mm, with 36 components from 17 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the LP5024, W25Q32JVSS, AP2112K-3.3 and TPD2EUSB30. By type, the board carries 14 capacitors, 6 diodes, 6 resistors, 5 ICs, 2 switches and 1 crystal.

From the project

TellMeLight is designed for ai hardware full-lifetime cycle.

- tellmelightreva.kicadpro: KiCad project. - tellmelightreva.kicadsch: block-level schematic/net plan for Rev A. - tellmelightreva.kicadsym and sym-lib-table: local placeholder symbols so KiCad can export a review BOM. - tellmelightreva.kicadpcb: PCB placement baseline with real KiCad stock footprints.

This is a Rev A CAD baseline for review. It is not a fabrication release until the pin-by-pin schematic, routing, footprint models, and DFM are reviewed.

TellMeLight Rev A: common questions

What microcontroller does the TellMeLight Rev A use?

The TellMeLight Rev A is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the TellMeLight Rev A PCB?

The TellMeLight Rev A measures 96 × 74 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the TellMeLight Rev A?

36 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TellMeLight Rev A design files?

From the qiaoyo/TellMeLight repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TellMeLight Rev A design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with qiaoyo. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the TellMeLight Rev A without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
