About the RoRo60 PCB

RoRo60 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by rarepotato8de, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 284.7 × 94.2 mm, with 184 components from 30 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the USBLC6-2SC6, W25Q128JVS and AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 77 LEDs, 74 diodes, 16 capacitors, 8 resistors, 4 ICs and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

RoRo60: High-end 60% PCB with QMK/Vial, RP2040, and enough style to make Peter Zwegat proud. 📉

The RoRo60 is the compact 60% sibling of the RoRo80, specifically designed for the "Pete" enthusiast group. Like its bigger brother, it’s a tribute to Germany's favorite debt counselor, Peter Zwegat.

The project was named after Roman and Rohaly, two friends of the Pete Group who pushed for a custom PCB design. This open-source version is a reliable, easy-to-configure tool for everyone in the community.

RoRo60: common questions

What microcontroller does the RoRo60 use?

The RoRo60 is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the RoRo60 PCB?

The RoRo60 measures 284.7 × 94.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RoRo60?

184 components, from 30 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RoRo60 design files?

From the rarepotato8de/RoRo60 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RoRo60 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with rarepotato8de. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RoRo60 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
