About the Pipar sool PCB
Pipar sool is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by RasmusKoit, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 142.4 × 110.5 mm, with 121 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the BUTTON-4P, from the Nordic nRF family. By type, the board carries 38 resistors, 36 LEDs, 36 diodes, 5 ICs, 4 switches and 2 transistors.
It belongs with the keyboards and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
Pipar is a collection of keyboards
Pipar is a collection of different keyboards and keypads that I have designed. Each PCB in the series has unique features tailored to different needs and preferences.
The Pipar keyboards run ZMK firmware. Board definitions, custom drivers (LED indicators, caps-word events, a recovery watchdog), keymaps, and shields live in the zmk-keyboard-pipar ZMK module — included here as the zmk-keyboard-pipar submodule.

Pipar sool: common questions
What microcontroller does the Pipar sool use?
The Pipar sool is built around the BUTTON-4P, from the Nordic nRF family.
How big is the Pipar sool PCB?
The Pipar sool measures 142.4 × 110.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Pipar sool?
121 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Pipar sool design files?
From the RasmusKoit/pipar repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Pipar sool design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with RasmusKoit. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Pipar sool without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
