About the DanceConIO PCB
DanceConIO is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by ravinrabbid, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 79 × 57.3 mm, with 100 components from 15 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RP2040-Zero, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the SN74LVC1T45DCK and ADS124S06IPBSR. By type, the board carries 47 capacitors, 36 resistors, 12 connectors and 5 ICs.
It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
RP2040 based firmware and hardware for Dance Pad Controllers
This board hosts a Waveshare RP2040-Zero microcontroller unit and provides up to 9 differential inputs for sensors in Wheatstone Bridge configuration. In addition it provides signal shitting for WS2812 style LEDs and break out connectors for I2C and GPIOs.
Any sensor in Wheatstone bridge configuration should work. Tests were mainly done using a configuration of four 50kg half bridge load cells, cf. LoadCellAdapter for wiring. Other sensors might need adjustment of the ADC's amplifier gain within the firmware.

DanceConIO: common questions
What microcontroller does the DanceConIO use?
The DanceConIO is built around the RP2040-Zero, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the DanceConIO PCB?
The DanceConIO measures 79 × 57.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the DanceConIO?
100 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the DanceConIO design files?
From the ravinrabbid/DanceCon2040 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the DanceConIO design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ravinrabbid chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the DanceConIO without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
