About the X68k combocard PCB
X68k combocard is an open source FPGA PCB design by sayjionix, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 141 × 150 mm, with 60 components from 20 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ICE40HX1K-VQ100, from the FPGA family. Other key parts include the 74LCX07, AT25SF081-SSHD-X, TLV73312PDBV, SN74LVC8T245DWR and TLV73333PDBV. By type, the board carries 30 capacitors, 17 ICs, 5 resistors, 4 jumpers, 3 connectors and 1 crystal.
It belongs with the audio and retro computing designs in this gallery.

Important notice: The Sharp X68000 does not automatically detect the available RAM. Boot into Human68k and use SWITCH.X to configure the amount of RAM installed in your machine. After a restart, the expanded memory should then be shown by LHES or memory test programs such as memtest68k. There is nothing to configure for the MIDI interface, just start playing your favourite games that support MIDI music.

X68k combocard: common questions
What microcontroller does the X68k combocard use?
The X68k combocard is built around the ICE40HX1K-VQ100, from the FPGA family.
How big is the X68k combocard PCB?
The X68k combocard measures 141 × 150 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the X68k combocard?
60 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the X68k combocard design files?
From the sayjionix/x68k_combocard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the X68k combocard design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which sayjionix chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the X68k combocard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
