About the KOSMO LATTICE PCB

KOSMO LATTICE is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by sebastianbeyer, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 200 mm, with 105 components from 42 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MCP6002_1, 74HC595, L7805 and LM4040LP-5. By type, the board carries 43 resistors, 16 capacitors, 8 connectors, 7 diodes, 6 ICs and 2 transistors.

I had to fix the pot direction and the button but now it works! Remember to adjust the LED resistors (R37, R38, R39) to the LEDs your are using! For the firmware I have added the compiled firmware (grids.hex) and a script on how to upload it to your nano (upload.sh, you need to adjust the paths)

KOSMO LATTICE: common questions

What microcontroller does the KOSMO LATTICE use?

The KOSMO LATTICE is built around the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the KOSMO LATTICE PCB?

The KOSMO LATTICE measures 100 × 200 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the KOSMO LATTICE?

105 components, from 42 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the KOSMO LATTICE design files?

From the sebastianbeyer/KOSMO_LATTICE repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the KOSMO LATTICE design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with sebastianbeyer. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the KOSMO LATTICE without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
