About the Boing PCB
Boing is an open source ESP32 PCB design by TaniWanKenobi, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 56.8 × 66.3 mm, with 7 components from 5 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-C6, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the HS96L03W2C03. By type, the board carries 3 switches, 2 ICs and 1 battery holder.
It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

1. Install the Arduino IDE and the ESP32 board package. 2. Install Adafruit SSD1306 and Adafruit GFX via the Library Manager. 3. Open firmware/firmware.ino — the IDE will pick up all .h/.cpp files in the folder automatically. 4. Select XIAOESP32C6** as the board and flash.

Boing: common questions
What microcontroller does the Boing use?
The Boing is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C6, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Boing PCB?
The Boing measures 56.8 × 66.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Boing?
7 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Boing design files?
From the TaniWanKenobi/Boing repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Boing design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with TaniWanKenobi. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Boing without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
