From the project
An old-school remake of the ZX Interface 2 with some modern tweaks - mainly by integrating bank switching into the interface itself. Everything done with basic logic chips and components, no magic black boxes to be found anywhere!
Though the interface itself is able to address ROM chips in sizes up to 512K, four of them actually, the cartridge itself was designed with the ROM chips ranging from 27C128 up to 27C512. I might make a monster cartridge at some point, but given that there were only around 10 cartridges released for the original system - having the space for 8 of them is a good starting point.
