From the project

Four-channel Raspberry Pi HAT for gLOWCOST scintillator/MPPC readout with programmable bias, thresholds, and FPGA hit processing.

gLOWCOST 2v2 is a six-layer Raspberry Pi HAT for MPPC readout, bias control, and fast comparator interfacing. The design combines four sensor-interface channels with programmable bias/control, high-speed analog signal conditioning, FPGA logic, and the Raspberry Pi 40-pin interface.

This repository contains a documented release of the working, hardware-tested KiCad design. The electrical topology, copper routing, footprints, board outline, and stack-up from the tested source have been preserved. GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface-: common questions

What microcontroller does the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- use?

The GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- is built around the ICE40LP384-SG32, from the FPGA family.

How big is the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- PCB?

The GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- measures 65 × 56.5 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface-?

194 components, from 53 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- design files?

From the tharinduudu/gLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with tharinduudu. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the GLOWCOST-2v2-mppcInterface- without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
