About the Plank PCB
Plank is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by thomas-maurice, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 229.8 × 77.9 mm, with 146 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117 and W25Q128. By type, the board carries 57 diodes, 47 switches, 27 capacitors, 8 resistors, 3 ICs and 1 crystal.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

The awesome and tiny pl0nk mechanical keyboard !
This is the repo to hold the KiCad, CAD and firmware files for the pl0nk mechanical keyboard, my home-made 12x4 ortholinear mechanical keyboard.
This repo contains everything you need to build your own. The KiCad project has annotated components that will allow you to send the project directly to JLCPCB for manufacturing with the proper bill of materials and so on. (The JLCPCB plugin for KiCad is required for that)

Plank: common questions
What microcontroller does the Plank use?
The Plank is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Plank PCB?
The Plank measures 229.8 × 77.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Plank?
146 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Plank design files?
From the thomas-maurice/pl0nk repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Plank design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with thomas-maurice. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Plank without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
