From the project

NRF52833 Based ScrollWheel Key

- Revolute currently simulate keyboard inputs, consumer controlls, mouse inputs.

- the actions and sensitivity of the wheel can be configured through the revolute configurator app that will be available for iOS, Macos and Windows devices that have bluetooth support.

- Configuratios done on revolute is persistently stored on device, which means that revolute can work on any device with Bluetooth and HID support.

Revolute: common questions

What microcontroller does the Revolute use?

The Revolute is built around the C2895249, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Revolute PCB?

The Revolute measures 19.9 × 19.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.7912 mm thick.

How many components are on the Revolute?

66 components, from 38 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Revolute design files?

From the tongtongwang86/Revolute repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Revolute design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the Revolute without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
