Its main chip is the STM32F411CEU6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AP63203WU, DRV8833PWP, QRE1113, LSM6DS3 and PCA9554PW. By type, the board carries 35 resistors, 31 capacitors, 10 diodes, 7 ICs, 7 transistors and 5 connectors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

High-performance, open-source micromouse robot platform built for Robosam and MEB Robot (Ministry of National Education Robotics Competition, Turkey).

KiCad 10 main board (PCB) design for the Robosam and MEB Robot micromouse platform. Project file: pcb/AratMicro.kicadpro`

Protection: polyfuse, TVS diode, AO3401A P-channel MOSFET (power path).

Signal names are taken from schematic hierarchical labels. STM32 pin assignments will be finalized during PCB layout.

The Sensor Unit uses 4× IR receivers paired with 4× IR LEDs (one emitter per direction: front-left, front-right, left, right). LED drivers are controlled via BC817 NPN transistors.

AratMicro: common questions

What microcontroller does the AratMicro use?

The AratMicro is built around the STM32F411CEU6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the AratMicro PCB?

The AratMicro measures 80 × 87.6 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the AratMicro?

102 components, from 47 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the AratMicro design files?

From the vorlaxen-labs/AratMicro repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the AratMicro design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which vorlaxen-labs chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the AratMicro without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
