About the MZ80K SD PCB

MZ80K SD is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by yanataka60, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 21 components from 16 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Pro_Mini_5V, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the 74LS04, 2764, 8255 and 74LS30. By type, the board carries 6 ICs, 6 capacitors, 5 connectors, 3 switches and 1 resistor.

MZ80K SD: common questions

What microcontroller does the MZ80K SD use?

The MZ80K SD is built around the Arduino_Pro_Mini_5V, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the MZ80K SD PCB?

The MZ80K SD measures 100 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the MZ80K SD?

21 components, from 16 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the MZ80K SD design files?

From the yanataka60/MZ80K_SD repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the MZ80K SD design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which yanataka60 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the MZ80K SD without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
