About the Fuimini-V2 PCB

Fuimini-V2 is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by Zipra1, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 15 × 29.2 mm, with 59 components from 42 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the NRF52833-QDAA-R, from the Nordic nRF family. Other key parts include the ANT162442ST-1000AM1, C22459454, IST8306, SSP7615-33DFR and LGS4056HDA. By type, the board carries 26 capacitors, 13 resistors, 7 ICs, 3 inductors, 2 crystals and 2 switches.

From the project

nRF flavoured SlimeVR-compatible trackers. Now with higher volume production in mind!

Design is optimized for manufacturability at medium scales & comfort

Cases intended for 301525 batteries, exact dimensions 13x27x3mm

The case labelled "small battery" is actually the regular size of battery. The other variant is because sometimes when ordering batteries the size can be a bit off.

Since I have yet to make proper instructions, feel free to contact me for help with assembly: @fui__ on Discord.

Fuimini-V2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Fuimini-V2 use?

The Fuimini-V2 is built around the NRF52833-QDAA-R, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Fuimini-V2 PCB?

The Fuimini-V2 measures 15 × 29.2 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1 mm thick.

How many components are on the Fuimini-V2?

59 components, from 42 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Fuimini-V2 design files?

From the Zipra1/Fuimini-V2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Fuimini-V2 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which Zipra1 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Fuimini-V2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
