About the PinaBioHw PCB

PinaBioHw is an open source PCB design by AlejandroPina, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 110 × 70 mm, with 49 components from 29 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the XIAO_ESP32S3, C29149, MCP6004 and ADS1115. By type, the board carries 18 resistors, 13 capacitors, 10 connectors, 4 ICs, 3 diodes and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the sensors, iot & wireless and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Non-medical biofeedback PCB: GSR, PPG/HRV, skin temperature, lab ECG, and two resistive breath belts on a Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3.

The paid JLCPCB order is v1.0 (exports/PinaBiov1). A v1.1 layout (XIAO USB at the board edge) is ready for a later spin: exports/PinaBiov1.1 and docs/10pinabiov1.1rf.md`. Same circuit. Do not mix v1.1 files into the current order.

PinaBio is a biofeedback board (skin conductance, pulse, temperature, ECG, breathing). It is not a medical device and does not diagnose anything. The nickname Paca is a tribute to Alejandro’s grandmother.

PinaBioHw: common questions

How big is the PinaBioHw PCB?

The PinaBioHw measures 110 × 70 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PinaBioHw?

49 components, from 29 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PinaBioHw design files?

From the AlejandroPina/PinaBioHw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PinaBioHw design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with AlejandroPina. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
