1. Regulate the Li-Ion voltage to 3.3V using e.g. MCP1700 2. Run off alkaline batteries without regulator (unsustainable as not rechargeable)

Esp8266-temperature humidity: common questions

What microcontroller does the Esp8266-temperature humidity use?

The Esp8266-temperature humidity is built around the ESP-12F, from the ESP8266 family.

How big is the Esp8266-temperature humidity PCB?

The Esp8266-temperature humidity measures 49.9 × 34 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Esp8266-temperature humidity?

23 components, from 16 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Esp8266-temperature humidity design files?

From the amadeuspzs/esp8266-temperature-humidity repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Esp8266-temperature humidity design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with amadeuspzs. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Esp8266-temperature humidity without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP8266 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
