About the SHARP FEATHER NANO PCB

SHARP FEATHER NANO is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by bitbank2, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 43.9 × 53.1 mm, with 12 components from 8 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the Adafruit_Feather_Generic. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 2 modules and 2 switches.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

A place to share all of my PCB projects

A collection of KiCad PCB projects. I've included the Gerber files (zipped) so that you can directly order these PCBs from your favorite PCB supplier without having to use KiCad.

A DS3231 realtime clock breakout board modelled after the RPI RTC boards. The 5 pin header matches the pinout of the Raspberry Pi and adds the interrupt pin (pulled up to 3.3v). It includes a QWIIC connector (JST 4-pin 1mm) and I also added a small switch to completely disconnect the backup battery if you plan on leaving it unused for an extended period of time. There's a small CR44 backup battery soldered to the…

SHARP FEATHER NANO: common questions

What microcontroller does the SHARP FEATHER NANO use?

The SHARP FEATHER NANO is built around the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the SHARP FEATHER NANO PCB?

The SHARP FEATHER NANO measures 43.9 × 53.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SHARP FEATHER NANO?

12 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SHARP FEATHER NANO design files?

From the bitbank2/KiCad_Projects repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SHARP FEATHER NANO design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which bitbank2 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SHARP FEATHER NANO without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
