About the Servos PCB

Servos is an open source TI MSP430/CC PCB design by cactorium, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40.4 × 54.2 mm, with 18 components from 13 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the MSP430G2153, from the TI MSP430/CC family. Other key parts include the FT234XD, ADP151AUJZ-3.3-R7 and SN74LV1T04. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 5 ICs, 3 resistors, 2 connectors and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the robotics & motion designs in this gallery.

From the project

EEG software, alpha stages. Will be opensourced when it's working!

UCFBrainStuff ============= UCF senior design project, schematic files and other things. Will be open sourced at some point probably! All work is currently done in KiCAD but it may be converted to a different EDA software

Servos: common questions

What microcontroller does the Servos use?

The Servos is built around the MSP430G2153, from the TI MSP430/CC family.

How big is the Servos PCB?

The Servos measures 40.4 × 54.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Servos?

18 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Servos design files?

From the cactorium/UCFBrainStuff repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Servos design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which cactorium chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Servos without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug TI MSP430/CC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
