Simple dev board inspired by the raspberry Pi Pico
Hey there, fellow human! I'm a portuguese 17 year old highschooler with aspirations of getting into aerospacial engineering one day. And since I know how important it is to start building experience early, I decided to try out a hackclub starter project. And what an undertaking this was. I picked the "Design a custom PCB" thinking it couldnt be THAT hard. Yeah no, hard would be the understatement of the century. I had hardly ever touched a CAD program in my life, and KiCAD looked like it'd have a very sharp looking skill curve. As it did indeed. But I presevered. Despite me relentlessly…

MsCp-1A2: common questions
What microcontroller does the MsCp-1A2 use?
The MsCp-1A2 is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the MsCp-1A2 PCB?
The MsCp-1A2 measures 21.8 × 52.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MsCp-1A2?
33 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MsCp-1A2 design files?
From the camaradadasausturias-art/MsDb-1 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MsCp-1A2 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with camaradadasausturias-art. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the MsCp-1A2 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
