Open-Source RP2040 Microcontroller Development Board

Mitayi Pico is the first development board from CIRCUITSTATE Electronics. It is a small development board based on the RP2040 microcontroller from Raspberry Pi. The board is designed after the official Pico board from Raspberry Pi, but adds a few improvements over it.

The schematic and PCB are designed with KiCad, an open-source EDA tool. All the design files of Mitayi Pico are completely open-source and released under the MIT license.

Mitayi Pico: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mitayi Pico use?

The Mitayi Pico is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Mitayi Pico PCB?

The Mitayi Pico measures 21 × 51 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mitayi Pico?

48 components, from 31 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mitayi Pico design files?

From the CIRCUITSTATE/Mitayi-Pico-D1 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mitayi Pico design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which CIRCUITSTATE chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Mitayi Pico without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
