About the HadesNT PCB

HadesNT is an open source STM32 PCB design by david-who, published on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 80 × 50 mm, with 94 components from 49 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32H750VBT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the INA219AIDCNR, MP2451DT-LF-Z, SRV05-4, W25Q128JVS and BMP280. By type, the board carries 32 capacitors, 24 resistors, 11 connectors, 7 ICs, 7 transistors and 7 diodes.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

This folder contains all hardware design files for the HADES flight control system.

This folder contains all hardware design files for the HADES flight control system.

Hades: Dual STM32-based board containing microcontrollers (F4 and H7), inertial sensors, GPS receiver, power distribution system for servos (up to 9A at 5V). This is the main platform for testing. Hades Micro: 5cmx5cm flight control board with a single STM32F4. No GPS receiver and limited power distribution. Hades Micro (JLCPCB):* Nearly identical to Hades Micro, however uses SPI instead of I2C for sensor communication. Additionally, nearly all parts are available through LCSC/JLCPCB for assembly.

HadesNT: common questions

What microcontroller does the HadesNT use?

The HadesNT is built around the STM32H750VBT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the HadesNT PCB?

The HadesNT measures 80 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the HadesNT?

94 components, from 49 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the HadesNT design files?

From the david-who/HadesFCS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the HadesNT design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which david-who chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the HadesNT without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
