About the RP2040-devboard PCB

RP2040-devboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Dhruv2212-star, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 44 × 54 mm, with 37 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the NCP1117-3.3_TO252 and W25Q128JVS. By type, the board carries 17 capacitors, 9 resistors, 5 connectors, 3 ICs, 1 crystal and 1 switch.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

decoupling capacitors- we are using 100nF capacitors per each power pin (IOVDD) and 1uF capacitors for VREGIN and VREGOUT each and 2 100nF capacitors for DVDD pin, 100nF capacitor for ADC_AVDD and 100nF for USB VDD

RP2040-devboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the RP2040-devboard use?

The RP2040-devboard is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the RP2040-devboard PCB?

The RP2040-devboard measures 44 × 54 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RP2040-devboard?

37 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RP2040-devboard design files?

From the Dhruv2212-star/RP2040-devboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RP2040-devboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Dhruv2212-star. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RP2040-devboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
