About the 2040-artnode PCB
2040-artnode is an open source PCB design by dnewcome, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 100 × 70 mm, with 80 components from 39 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the RP2354A, W5500, SN74AHCT125, TP4056 and MT3608. By type, the board carries 31 capacitors, 24 resistors, 9 connectors, 6 ICs, 4 switches and 2 crystals.
It belongs with the displays & leds and power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
RP2040 + W5500 ArtNet LED controller — 4× WS2812 outputs, USB-C LiPo charging, OLED, KiCad 7
RP2354A-based ArtNet node with 4× WS2812/SK6812 serial outputs, W5500 Ethernet, USB-C LiPo charging, and SSD1306 OLED display header.
- When USB-C is connected: TP4056 charges the battery; boost converter runs from battery simultaneously - When on battery only: boost converter maintains 5V rail - D1 (Schottky) prevents USB 5V from back-feeding if simultaneously present - LED pixel power is external — the board provides only the control signal and a 5V pass-through on each LED connector
