From the project
PCB design files and BOM for the RF Room Sensor device
The RF Room Sensor device is a remote monitoring device, capable of measuring the local temperature and hummidity at the location where it is placed. It is designed to be powered by 3 AAA rechargable cells, with an expected charge lifetime of 5 years. The data is sent over the 433 MHz ISM band as a Manchester-modulated OOK signal and collected by a central node, featuring a 433 MHz receiver. The data is then stored in a database and exposed to the user over a local website.

Rf room sensor hw: common questions
What microcontroller does the Rf room sensor hw use?
The Rf room sensor hw is built around the ATtiny404-SS, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Rf room sensor hw PCB?
The Rf room sensor hw measures 50.8 × 44 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Rf room sensor hw?
32 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Rf room sensor hw design files?
From the dselcan/rf-room-sensor-hw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Rf room sensor hw design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which dselcan chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Rf room sensor hw without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
