About the DB-pulser v3 PCB

DB-pulser v3 is an open source PCB design by echopen, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 47 × 52.1 mm, with 17 components from 12 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM555N and TC6320. By type, the board carries 7 connectors, 5 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 resistor.

From the project

If the cable connecting the transducer to the pulse is too long, one might have loop effect. This can be avoid with impedance adaptation, we are currently working on that.

If the cable connecting the transducer to the pulse is too long, one might have loop effect. This can be avoid with impedance adaptation, we are currently working on that.

-100V input is connected to P2 or P6 (angled socket and SMA connector respectively). Connector P4, P5, P7 and P8 are used to plugged the transducer and to connect with DB-trswitchtgc.

A small 47 ohms resistors had to be add to have the pulse, it don't work without it.

DB-pulser v3: common questions

How big is the DB-pulser v3 PCB?

The DB-pulser v3 measures 47 × 52.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the DB-pulser v3?

17 components, from 12 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the DB-pulser v3 design files?

From the echopen/PRJ-medtec_kit repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the DB-pulser v3 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with echopen. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
