About the ESPFridge PCB

ESPFridge is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Ehryk, published on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 21.2 × 77.6 mm, with 30 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3-WROOM-02, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the DW01A, 8205A, OPT3001DNPRQ1, MCP1700X-330XXTT and TMP117XXDRV. By type, the board carries 10 resistors, 9 capacitors, 6 ICs, 2 transistors, 1 connector and 1 battery holder.

This is my github pages repo, viewable at ehryk.github.io. It also has some setup files that I sync between various computers, most notably git and bash aliases.

These are the settings I sync between various computers. Update Config.bat for windows, update-config.sh for linux.

Custom Rainmeter skins for GPU and CPU temps, etc.

ESPFridge: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESPFridge use?

The ESPFridge is built around the ESP32-C3-WROOM-02, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESPFridge PCB?

The ESPFridge measures 21.2 × 77.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESPFridge?

30 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESPFridge design files?

From the Ehryk/ehryk.github.com repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESPFridge design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which Ehryk chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESPFridge without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
