About the Twomes temp monitor hardware PCB
Twomes temp monitor hardware is an open source ESP32 PCB design by energietransitie, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 73 × 77 mm, with 40 components from 22 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32E, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the SI7051-A20, DS18B20Z and WEMOS_D1_MINI_BREAKOUT. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 8 resistors, 5 ICs, 5 connectors, 3 switches and 2 transistors.
It belongs with the sensors, iot & wireless and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

Open hardware design files for the Twomes Temperature Monitor hardware
This repository contains the open hardware design files for the battery powered Twomes Temperature Monitor hardware, which can read measurement data from a varity of sensors: two DS18b20(Z) temperature sensors in clamps that can be connected the supply water pipe (from the boiler to the hydronic radiators) and return water pipe (from the hydronic radiators to the boiler); an Si7051 sensor mounted on the main PCB itself to measure room temperature; a Twomes CO₂ Monitor Shield with the WeMos D1 Mini shield form factor that measures temperature via an Si7051 sensor and a Sensirion SCD41 sensor…

Twomes temp monitor hardware: common questions
What microcontroller does the Twomes temp monitor hardware use?
The Twomes temp monitor hardware is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Twomes temp monitor hardware PCB?
The Twomes temp monitor hardware measures 73 × 77 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Twomes temp monitor hardware?
40 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Twomes temp monitor hardware design files?
From the energietransitie/twomes-temp-monitor-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Twomes temp monitor hardware design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which energietransitie chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Twomes temp monitor hardware without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
