IKEA HOPPVALS Motorized Retrofit, version 01 (short: HV-MRF-01).
An open hardware + firmware project that motorizes an [IKEA HOPPVALS][hoppvals] cellular (honeycomb) blind and exposes it to your smart home as a standard Zigbee 3.0 Window Covering — so any compliant hub (Home Assistant / ZHA, Zigbee2MQTT, deCONZ, SmartThings) can drive it with no custom converters.

HOPPVALS-MRF-01: common questions
What microcontroller does the HOPPVALS-MRF-01 use?
The HOPPVALS-MRF-01 is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C6-DIP, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the HOPPVALS-MRF-01 PCB?
The HOPPVALS-MRF-01 measures 105 × 21 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the HOPPVALS-MRF-01?
39 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the HOPPVALS-MRF-01 design files?
From the evanpurkhiser/HOPPVALS-MRF-01 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the HOPPVALS-MRF-01 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with evanpurkhiser. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the HOPPVALS-MRF-01 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
