This design will attempt to utilise OSHPark Flex for the sensor elements, which provides a low cost solution for prototyping flexible circuits. But you are limited to a 5mil polymide core.

Cap sense ctrl: common questions
What microcontroller does the Cap sense ctrl use?
The Cap sense ctrl is built around the ATSAMD21E18A, from the Microchip SAM family.
How big is the Cap sense ctrl PCB?
The Cap sense ctrl measures 33.6 × 18 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Cap sense ctrl?
32 components, from 16 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Cap sense ctrl design files?
From the gregdavill/cap-sense-flex repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Cap sense ctrl design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with gregdavill. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Cap sense ctrl without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Microchip SAM firmware against it before you order a PCB.
