About the Sampler PCB

Sampler is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ijnekenamay, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 29 × 99.5 mm, with 31 components from 18 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ARDUINO_NANO_V3.X, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the DFR0299. By type, the board carries 11 resistors, 8 diodes, 4 connectors, 3 capacitors, 1 IC and 1 module.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

eurorack modular synthesizers projects using Arduino.

- This board has never actually been manufactured! I will get feedback and improve it. - The SP3T switch in the original schematic has been changed to SPTD due to availability issues. - Footprints such as POTs have been replaced with pin headers to accommodate easily available panel-mounted components. - See the HAGIWO website for the Arduino code. - Files for the panel will be created as needed.

Sampler: common questions

What microcontroller does the Sampler use?

The Sampler is built around the ARDUINO_NANO_V3.X, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Sampler PCB?

The Sampler measures 29 × 99.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Sampler?

31 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Sampler design files?

From the ijnekenamay/HAGIWOs_Module repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Sampler design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ijnekenamay. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Sampler without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
