About the Spectrum analyzer PCB
Spectrum analyzer is an open source ESP32 PCB design by JadenS180, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 74.9 × 100.3 mm, with 11 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3 and ER_OLEDM0.91_1x-I2C. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 3 capacitors, 3 resistors and 2 connectors.
It belongs with the displays & leds, audio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
ESP32-based real-time audio spectrum analyzer with custom PCB design. Features INMP441 I2S microphone, SSD1306 OLED display, FFT processing, and real-time WiFi streaming to a browser-based visualizer via WebSockets.
A real-time audio spectrum analyzer built on the ESP32, featuring a custom-designed PCB. Captures audio via an I2S MEMS microphone, runs FFT processing on-chip, displays a live 16-bar frequency spectrum on an OLED display, and streams real-time FFT data over WiFi to a browser-based visualizer via WebSockets.

Spectrum analyzer: common questions
What microcontroller does the Spectrum analyzer use?
The Spectrum analyzer is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Spectrum analyzer PCB?
The Spectrum analyzer measures 74.9 × 100.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Spectrum analyzer?
11 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Spectrum analyzer design files?
From the JadenS180/spectrum-analyzer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Spectrum analyzer design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which JadenS180 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Spectrum analyzer without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
