From the project

USB PD Power distributor and current monitor with STM32G0 MCU and STUSB4500 PD Controller.

This project is a compact, professional-grade USB-C Power Delivery (PD) debug tool and power meter. Not finished yet tho. It’s designed to showcase modern hardware stuffs (USB-C, PD negotiation, embedded control, current/voltage sensing). TBD when my large order of components come in. ---

- USB-C PD Sink (STUSB4500): negotiates 5 V / 9 V / 12 V / 15 V / 20 V profiles. - Current and Voltage Monitoring: INA219 + voltage divider for real-time display. - I²C OLED Menu System: user-selectable voltage and output control with buttons. - Temperature Monitoring: TMP112 tracks board temperature for…

USB C PD: common questions

What microcontroller does the USB C PD use?

The USB C PD is built around the STM32G030F6Px, from the STM32 family.

How big is the USB C PD PCB?

The USB C PD measures 60 × 64.9 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the USB C PD?

78 components, from 46 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the USB C PD design files?

From the JBeeBK/USB_C_PD repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the USB C PD design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with JBeeBK. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the USB C PD without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
