About the Laser Alarm Security Circuit PCB

Laser Alarm Security Circuit is an open source PCB design by JKCadilo14-CpE, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50.8 × 45.7 mm, with 7 components from 7 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 2 connectors, 2 resistors, 1 transistor, 1 buzzer and 1 diode.

From the project

Collection of electronic circuits I designed, tested, and documented using KiCad

A beginner-friendly laser-interruption alarm project using an LDR, BC547 transistor, LED, buzzer, and an external laser source for demonstration.

This project demonstrates an educational optical beam-interruption alarm. An external laser module projects a beam onto the LDR. The LDR and R2 form a light-dependent input condition for Q1. When the beam is interrupted, the LDR condition changes, Q1 responds, and D1/BZ1 provide visible and audible alarm indication.
