About the Temperature controlled dc fan PCB

Temperature controlled dc fan is an open source PCB design by JKCadilo14-CpE, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 71.1 × 30.5 mm, with 5 components from 5 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 2 connectors, 1 transistor and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Collection of electronic circuits I designed, tested, and documented using KiCad

A beginner-friendly temperature-responsive fan control project using a 10K NTC thermistor and a BC547 transistor.

This project demonstrates a simple temperature-controlled DC fan concept. A 10K NTC thermistor changes resistance as temperature changes, and that resistance change affects the bias condition of a BC547 transistor connected to the fan output.

The circuit was built as an educational PCB project for studying temperature sensing, transistor biasing, and basic load-control behavior. It is intended for learning and experimentation, not for certified thermal protection or production…
