About the Hermes Temperature Reader PCB
Hermes Temperature Reader is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by KnoxE67, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 42 × 56 mm, with 7 components from 6 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the LM75AD,118 and DM-OLED096-636. By type, the board carries 3 ICs, 3 resistors and 1 capacitor.
It belongs with the displays & leds, sensors and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
Building a Custom Hermes project with a LM75AD_118, XIAO RP2040, and a 0.96” 128 X 64 OLED DISPLAY
So this project is about making something clean, cool, and something Im going to use for a long time. It uses a PCB, a XIAO RP2040, a SSD1306 OLED Display, a LM75AD,118 Temperature sensor, One 0.1 µF Ceramic Capacitor, Two 4.7k ohm Resistors, and One 10k ohm Resistor.
So I did the project so that I could learn how to build something using a Datasheet which I havn't done without help before, cool, nice, and something I would actual use unlike the Blueprint Projects: Custom Hackpad and RP2040 DevBoard. I also did this project because I was bored and waiting for my other project Pathfinder to…

Hermes Temperature Reader: common questions
What microcontroller does the Hermes Temperature Reader use?
The Hermes Temperature Reader is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Hermes Temperature Reader PCB?
The Hermes Temperature Reader measures 42 × 56 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Hermes Temperature Reader?
7 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Hermes Temperature Reader design files?
From the KnoxE67/Hermes_Temperature_Reader repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Hermes Temperature Reader design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with KnoxE67. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Hermes Temperature Reader without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
