About the BlueJamma PCB

BlueJamma is an open source ESP32 PCB design by KPEKEP, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 110.4 × 62.8 mm, with 29 components from 18 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3_SUPERMINI, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the 74HC595D and LM2596T-ADJ. By type, the board carries 11 capacitors, 6 ICs, 5 resistors, 4 diodes and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

Arcade Bluetooth Controller Adapter "BlueJamma"

The device is built around the ESP32-C3 SuperMini development board, which provides an excellent balance of size, features, and cost. The control program is based on the BluePad32 library and can be found in the sketch folder of this repository.

The PCB design incorporates elements from the JammaKludge project by estechnical, which provided valuable reference for the Jamma connector implementation.

BlueJamma: common questions

What microcontroller does the BlueJamma use?

The BlueJamma is built around the ESP32-C3_SUPERMINI, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the BlueJamma PCB?

The BlueJamma measures 110.4 × 62.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the BlueJamma?

29 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the BlueJamma design files?

From the KPEKEP/BlueJamma repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the BlueJamma design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with KPEKEP. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the BlueJamma without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
