About the ALU0 PCB

ALU0 is an open source PCB design by Left-Hand, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 66 components from 20 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74LS194, 74LS240, 74LS165, 74LS574 and 74LS595. By type, the board carries 20 capacitors, 19 ICs, 9 connectors, 9 diodes and 9 resistors.

From the project

An logic gate computer made of 74 gates

ALU0: common questions

How big is the ALU0 PCB?

The ALU0 measures 100 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ALU0?

66 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ALU0 design files?

From the Left-Hand/74-gate-computer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ALU0 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Left-Hand. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
