Lenimal Github for DIY for a Eurorack Synth

A eurorack module to compress audio signals. It is based on the Compressor module by MKI.

This compressor has dual channels, each with its own set of controls. The controls are as follows:

- Threshold: Sets the level at which the compressor starts to work. Signals above this level will be compressed. - Ratio: Sets the amount of compression applied to the signal. A higher ratio means more compression. - Attack: Sets the time it takes for the compressor to start working after the signal exceeds the threshold. A shorter attack time means the compressor will respond more quickly to peaks in the…

Compressor: common questions

How big is the Compressor PCB?

The Compressor measures 60 × 110 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Compressor?

174 components, from 38 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Compressor design files?

From the lennartquerter/euro-rack-synth repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Compressor design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
