About the AIR MOUSE PCB
AIR MOUSE is an open source ESP32 PCB design by MAATHES-THILAK-K, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 41 × 69.4 mm, with 29 components from 20 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the MT3608, JOYSTICK and AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 7 resistors, 4 ICs, 2 diodes, 1 connector and 1 battery holder.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
Air Mouse Made on ESP32C3
A compact wireless air-style remote mouse designed for TVs and distance-based screens, built around the ESP32-C3. Instead of unreliable motion sensing, this design uses a dual-axis joystick + dedicated buttons, resulting in higher accuracy, lower power consumption, and better usability.
Traditional motion-based air mice suffer from: - Drift and calibration issues - High power consumption - Poor precision for UI navigation

AIR MOUSE: common questions
What microcontroller does the AIR MOUSE use?
The AIR MOUSE is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the AIR MOUSE PCB?
The AIR MOUSE measures 41 × 69.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the AIR MOUSE?
29 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the AIR MOUSE design files?
From the MAATHES-THILAK-K/AIR_MOUSE repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the AIR MOUSE design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which MAATHES-THILAK-K chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the AIR MOUSE without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
