MosaicCore HAT is a modular, open-source edge compute attachment board engineered for multi-protocol sensor fusion, real-time data aggregation, and field-deployed embedded processing. Designed ground-up in KiCad on a hardened 4-layer stackup, it bridges the gap between raw sensor nodes and compute platforms — aggregating UART, SPI, I²C, and USB protocol streams onto a single, EMI-suppressed board with zero unrouted connections and full DRC clearance.

MosaicCore HAT (1): common questions

What microcontroller does the MosaicCore HAT (1) use?

The MosaicCore HAT (1) is built around the raspberrypi_hat_OX40HAT, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How big is the MosaicCore HAT (1)?

The MosaicCore HAT (1) measures 65 × 56.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the MosaicCore HAT (1)?

37 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the MosaicCore HAT (1) design files?

From the MAHESH-THILAK-K/ADDITIONAL-PROJECT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the MosaicCore HAT (1) design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which MAHESH-THILAK-K chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the MosaicCore HAT (1) without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
