About the Digital-ID-Card-V1 PCB
Digital-ID-Card-V1 is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Malch2089, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 54 × 86 mm, with 16 components from 10 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-C3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3 and MCP73831-2-OT. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 3 ICs, 3 capacitors and 2 connectors.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, displays & leds and power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
Prototype for smart id card
Imagine 10 years from now you got lucky and a trillionaire gave you his business card it won't be an ordinary one, it's as thick as a debit-card with an e-ink display featuring all his details. But since this project costed me around $45 to make so don't expect any business man could afford it, it's just a cool concept.
I also planned one more use but that will not work if this is launched as a product. The other use is feeding all your id cards like adhar, pan, voter in one single card.

Digital-ID-Card-V1: common questions
What microcontroller does the Digital-ID-Card-V1 use?
The Digital-ID-Card-V1 is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Digital-ID-Card-V1 PCB?
The Digital-ID-Card-V1 measures 54 × 86 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Digital-ID-Card-V1?
16 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Digital-ID-Card-V1 design files?
From the Malch2089/Digital-ID-Card-V1 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Digital-ID-Card-V1 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Malch2089. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Digital-ID-Card-V1 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
